SHORT STAFFED? RESOURCES SPREAD THIN? NEED A QUALITY NUTRITION PROGRAM?
We have the answer. The Ohio SNAP Ed Program is the nutrition education component of the federal government's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) - or Food Assistance in Ohio. In Ohio, more than 80% of Ohio's counties, including ours, provide FNP classes to low-income people. SNAP ed's benefits help participants to:
- Make healthy food choices
- Stretch food dollars
- Keep food safe
- Balance a healthy diet with physical activity
HUNGRY TO LEARN
SNAP Ed makes a difference in the lives of those in our communities with the fewest resources available to feed, clothe, house and educate their families. We focus on those with the most need: those participating in or who are eligible for the Food Assistance Program (SNAP).
AT YOUR SERVICE
SNAP Ed partners with local agencies and organizations to offer small-group classes in a variety of settings. Our programs are taught by OSU Extension staff who are trained to teach nutrition to adults. We can schedule classes at your convenience. All participants receive class materials and recipes. Best of all, our program is free.
